Laws change and pet foster parents should be familiar with changes in the law that may affect their ability to foster. Pet foster parents and organizations that have pet foster programs should be familiar with (or at least know where to look to find out more) about statutes/and local ordinances. VOLUNTEERS: thoroughly read the fostering agreement provided by your local shelter.
ORGANIZATIONS: Review Local Statutes that affect Breeding, Breed Specific Legislation, Quarantine(s), Housing codes and State Law that may affect transporting animals across state lines (where applicable).
